I woke up this morning with what felt like a slightly sprained ankle, but when I began my morning walk, the ankle got better and my hip began to hurt. It made walking pretty hard, so when Kelli was finished with a
doctor appointment that she had, I emailed Johns Hopkins because they have some warnings about leg pain and blood clots. JH said to see my family physician, so I did. Dr. Hemphill said that she thought it was more skeletal. However, I am to call tomorrow. If the pain is still there, she may send me to have an ultrasound done of my leg. If I get any swelling, I am to go to the ER.
My blood pressure was also pretty low today (98/60), so I was getting pretty light-headed when I was getting up. This evening, the output from my catheter was getting more red. I also forgot to take my antibiotic last night, so I now have a temp of 100.5. I will probably be calling JH or my family doctor in the morning if the color is the same and if the temp goes up.
I'm glad you're paying attention to any and all warning signs and taking care of yourself. Love you!
