The good news is that I did not go to a doctor today. Other good news is that I made it to walking for a full mile in 30 minutes. The problem is that I have developed some joint pain, so maybe I need to turn back the volume on the walking. I walked a mile this morning after waking up with pain on the inside of my right knee. I cut back to walking the next two times to only 10 minutes and a little over quarter of a mile. I feel like I am not doing any further injury this way.
One other problem is that leg pain can be an indication of clots, and that is not good. I woke up two days ago with my ankle feeling like it was slightly twisted. When I took my morning walk, the pain moved from the ankle to my hip. I went to see my family doctor who thinks the pain is muscular or skeletal. There is no swelling or pain in the calf or back of the leg. Today I woke up with pain on the inside of my right knee. I called the doctor again. I reported no swelling again and no calf pain or pain in the back of the thigh. She said there is a bursa where my pain is, and it could be bursitis.
This is pretty wierd. I had a similar pain on the inside of my left elbow. Tonight, pain is starting in my right shoulder. Maybe this is withdrawal from the gym.
I am looking forward to Monday when the catheter is taken out. Actually, I am looking forward to Tuesday when it is done. Maybe I am looking forward to a week later when things start shaping up a little better after the catheter is out.
Speaking of the catheter, it is putting out some pretty red stuff. Kelli emailed pictures to Dr. Schoenberg, and he said that the color looked pretty good to him.
It is a little confusing to be told to look out for certain symptoms and then find out that everything looks okay. I am certainly glad that everything is okay, but I am going to keep reporting whatever I am told to report. Better safe than sorry.
We are starting to work more on the orphan ministry for our church. We are doing some background research on some great resources. We will meet with the couple who went to the Minneapolis conference with us this weekend. The goal will be to begin work to develop a core team.
