Challenging Day, Good Results

Last night something started oozing through my shirt.  We called Johns Hopkins, and the on-call urologist told me what to do.  He said to call Dr. Schoenberg in the morning whether the ooze improved or not.  We had a bit of a hard time trying to get someone to answer the phone in the morning, but Kelli had emailed Dr. Schoenberg, complete with attached ooze pictures.  The good doctor said that I needed to have a local urologist evaluate the substance.

Dr. Schmidt here in Salem saw me just before leaving his office at noon.  He spent quite a bit of time with me and explained that the ooze was benign. It was fluid trapped under the skin finding a way out.  It is still finiding its way out now.  He did write a prescription for an additional antibiotic in case it should be needed.  He also gave me some new equipment that will give me a little more mobility.

The morning was pretty crazy.  The boys behaved so well at Dr. Schmidt's office that I can't believe it.  Kelli was awesome with them.  As soon as we got home from Dr. Schmidt's, we had lunch.  Then we napped hard.  At two o'clock, Kelli put out the slip and slide and blew up a pool for the boys.  Kelli is such a great mom!  I sat in my recliner watching the two most precious little boys having a wonderful time in the water.  God is good!  Thanks be to the Lord God Almighty!
