I tried to get back into the swing of things this week. I went to the gym twice and will go again in a few minutes for the third time. I am down to 40 push-ups. I was doing 80 to 100 previously. I had to dial it back on most other things as well, but I am hoping to be back to normal before surgery on June 7.
I also stayed at school until 7:30 twice this week conducting career interviews with students and parents. I also did Recovery School late one day and met with the couple who will also attend the conference in Minneapolis with us. That day was over after 9 p.m. I also went out to dinner with Moriah on Wednesday, and Kelli and I had a date night last night. For some reason, I am exhausted today.
I am still fairly weak and feeling a bit sick. I think I have returned to eating, and my body is not quite ready for it. I may need to dial that back a bit too. Food tastes better, but the taste is still not normal. My ears are still ringing, but I am definitely improving.
Now it is time to start looking toward surgery. I am having a difficult time scheduling a CT scan and MRI. Johns Hopkins can't do it because they do not know who to contact down here. I can't do it because the imaging center requires a doctor's office do it. My primary care doctor can't do it because they don't have the paperwork, and they all want my insurance company to approve it, but Anthem can't approve it without authorization from Johns Hopkins, but Johns Hopkins can't send the authorization until I know where the imaging will be done. I am working through this, but it is a little crazy!
