My man has come downstairs for dinner, and has eaten REAL food! (He returned to bed shortly afterwards though). He feels awful, but we are seeing progress! Right now he's even sitting up in bed and watching TV. How wonderful is that?
Our sweetest friend, Sophie took the boys to the Natural Bridge Zoo and they had so much fun. They didn't get back until nearly 8:00 and they had a hundred stories of all the fun Mrs. Sophie had for them -- riding the elephant, going to Chick Filet, getting doughnuts; it really made their day absolutely wonderful. How thoughtful.
Meanwhile, I was able to head to the store and get a vast array of various drinks for my darling, as nothing seems to taste as it ought -- going from light sodas, to cool-aids, to sugar-free juices. We'll see what's tolerable.
Thank you guys for all your support, prayers and comments. I told Ray that if he feels better in a couple of days, I should get him outside to see how everything is blooming into the fullness of spring. :) Only one more dose of chemo left. Four days until.
Hi Kelli & Ray
ReplyDeleteI've been watching for another message to see if Ray had to go to the doctor's for IV fluids. So happy he's doing a little better. Eating is always a sign of progress. Chemo is almost over! That alone helps psychologically to get through these rough days.
Hope your day is better today, and you get a chance to enjoy the sunshine.
Karen
"Progress" YES! Sounds (and hope & pray!) like you're better. You're alllmost through it. Keep hanging in there and hold on to each other (don't need annnyy encouragement there ;-) Hugs -- Gayle
