Today Ray feels pretty lousy. He's on some anti-nausea medicine -- after vomiting last night -- and is sleeping hard. It's noon-ish, and today is not starting out super-hot. He's certainly not wanting anything to eat, though he tries to pick a little at his food because he's a tough bird and is trying to be obedient to the doctors. He just left for the restroom, taking his vomit bucket with him just in case. . .
The weekend doctor (respected, but lower on the totem pole) thinks Ray could be discharged tomorrow. I can't see it, despite missing my babies. I honestly cannot imagine driving him home the way the tiniest jostle makes him queasy.
--Randomly the wireless access here at JH is allowing me to access this blog, and be ale to post while here, instead of waiting until I return to the hotel, so I should be able to post more frequently.
By the way -- the criteria for leaving JH for Ray is to be able to do the following things:
* eat normal food
* use the restroom for non-catheter functions
* understand and demonstrate how to use and clean his equipment
So far he's got two of three down, so I can technically see how he could be discharged. It's just that the ole eatin' real food thing might be fairly important . . .
:(
More later.
