It is tough for Ray to feel not so tough.

My mother recently broke her arm and shared with me how aggravating it is to be unable to do all the things you normally do, and then to have others dote on you and try to help.  It feels as though it SHOULD be unnecessary.  

Ray is similarly aggravated.  I do not believe it is too much of an exaggeration to explain it as almost mourning self-sufficiency.  Does that make sense?

I will not say any more.
