Back to Surgical Socks

By the time I got home from Little Rock (after driving to Memphis and spending the night thanks to airplane mechanical problems), both legs were swollen and my right angle was hurting.  Even my toes were fat!

Kelli made an appointment for me with the doctor for 2:15 in Shawsville.  I got away from the airport at 1:40 and still had to drop Scott at Salem High.  I arrived at the doctor about 20 minutes late.  She said that I could start using the surgical stockings again.  If that did not work, I call back for some higher level compression stockings.  The next step would be physical therapy.

Apparently this problem is not rare.  The American Cancer Society has a book about it, so I will probably order it.

However, the surgical socks seem to be doing a great job.  After one day of wearing them, my legs and feet are much improved.  There is only a bit of swelling left.

Tomorrow morning we leave early for the beach!

Thanks to those who prayed for me while on my trip to Arkansas!
